The Baker Tilly Staples Rodway Kendra Cocksedge Tournament was established in 2020 to provide further opportunities for up-and-coming female rugby players in the Taranaki region.
The tournament is named after the most capped Black Fern of all time and three-time Rugby World Cup winner Kendra Cocksedge who hails from Coastal Taranaki. Kendra came through the local grades and was first recognised in 2006 with selection in the Taranaki Secondary School Girls team.
It is open to all aspiring Under 16-year-old girls and with the growth in girls rugby participation the tournament now compromises three zoned teams North, Central and South.
More details will follow on trial dates, locations and times. If you have any questions plase email lisa@trfu.co.nz
