Taranaki Rugby Football Union are prepared for the biggest event on the community rugby calendar that will take place at Yarrow Stadium on Saturday 13 July.
The CMK Club Rugby Finals Day will feature nine finals from Under 11s final at 9:45am through to the Premier final between Coastal and Spotswood United, which is due to kick off at 3pm.
Coastal enter their third final in as many years, while Spotswood United will play in their second final – their last in 1995.
Coastal and Spotswood United also have a strong representation of teams playing in finals day with three teams playing for titles. The Division 1 finale is a carbon copy of the premier finale.
Community Rugby Manager Cole Brown said he was looking forward to celebrating a year’s worth of rugby with two extra finals added into the day’s schedule.
“It’s really important that our junior finals are also on finals day and the U11 final will kick off the day at 9:45am. Also, the 1st XV competition has mirrored the premier division in a successful attempt to strengthen school and club relationships and their final has been added into the day.”
Brown said all four fields at Yarrow Stadium will be utilised with three matches on field one across the day.
“We are excited to have fans able to watch the premier, 1st XV and Under 13 open weight final in a temporary grandstand which will be in place for the representative season,” he said.
The day will also be supported by a number of volunteers who will man scoreboards, direct traffic and assist with ticket sales.
Gates open at 9:15am.
