Taranaki Rugby is proud to announce that Warner Construction, a respected, locally owned business, has signed on for another two years as the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls Sleeve Partner.
The Warner Construction logo will be proudly displayed on the left sleeve of all Yarrows Taranaki Bulls playing and replica jerseys in 2025 and 2026.
The 2024 Yarrows Taranaki Bulls season was highlighted by the Amber & Blacks memorable Ranfurly Shield triumph over the Tasman Mako at Trafalgar Park in Nelson.
This moment preluded Prime Minister Chris Luxton’s visit to officially open Warner Construction’s brand-new headquarters in Bell Block later that week, where he pledged to wear a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls jersey in Parliament if the Amber & Blacks could topple Tasman.
The extension of the partnership between Warner Construction and Taranaki Rugby comes as the firm celebrates 40 years in business.
Founded in 1985 by Alan Warner, the company has grown from its roots in Waitara to become a key player in geothermal, oil and gas, and engineering projects across the North Island, with a strong presence now also established in Taupō.
Today, Alan’s son, Adam Warner, leads the business as Managing Director with the same drive and community spirit that helped shape its reputation in the early years.
Warner Construction are specialists in high-pressure steel pipelines, mechanical piping and fabrication, pressure vessels, mechanical services, structural and civil engineering, and logistics.
Their proven capability has seen them deliver major projects for some of New Zealand’s leading infrastructure and energy brands, including TRFU Family Zone Partner Matahio Energy, TRFU Planting Trees for Tomorrow Partner Todd Energy, Mercury, Contact Energy, Ballance Agri-Nutrients, Nova, Fletcher Construction, and Methanex.
Their resume features key contributions to the Transmission Gully project and significant geothermal steam field and power station developments, including Te Mihi, Tauhara, Kawerau, Wairakei, and Ngatamariki.
Managing Director Adam Warner says it was an easy decision to continue backing Taranaki Rugby.
"Taranaki Rugby is coming off a fantastic 2024 season so we’re stoked to keep backing them for the next two years. We have significant long-term relationships with the management and coaching staff and with Warner Construction hitting 40 years old this year, it just felt like the perfect fit."
TRFU Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Fastier welcomed the partnership extension.
“Warner Construction are a true Taranaki success story. From Alan’s early days to Adam’s leadership today, they’ve built a business that’s respected nationwide and deeply rooted in the Taranaki community. Taranaki Rugby value their support of the local community, and we’re thrilled to have them backing us for a further two years."
