
Taranaki Rugby is thrilled to announce Shining Peak Brewing and Asahi Beverages have partnered up to deliver a wide range of leading beverages for Amber & Black fans in 2024.
Local New Plymouth brewery Shining Peak Brewing has been the Official Beer of Taranaki Rugby since 2020, while Asahi Beverages are a welcome new addition to the Taranaki Rugby family.
Shining Peak Brewing will have a range of their craft beers including Bogworks, Fanny Fanthams and Little Fake available at CMK Club Finals Day, Central Roofing Taranaki Whio and Yarrows Taranaki Bulls match days.
Asahi Beverages will range their New Asahi Super Dry cans, Asahi Super Dry 0% beers, Squealing Pig wine and there famous Long White and Woodstock RTDs, they are also supplying their brand new RTD brand Brookvale Union (selected options) at Taranaki Rugby events.
Shining Peak Brewing will again have their logo displayed on the back of the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls playing shorts, while Asahi Beverages will promote their brands across a national and global television network at Amber & Black Bunnings NPC home matches.
Shining Peak Brewing Head Brewer and Director Beer Jesse Sigurdsson was fizzing for the upcoming season.

Asahi Beverages’ Area Sales Manager, Jasmine Wipatene, expressed that the partnership with Taranaki Rugby is a career highlight. Jasmine is extremely proud to be an Official Beverage Partner of Taranaki Rugby. Jasmine, who was born in Taranaki, has two sons who play rugby. Alongside Asahi Beverages, she is excited about this new partnership and looks forward to bringing it to life, creating a fantastic atmosphere for fans at home games.

Shining Peak Brewing, proudly take their name from our province – Taranaki. In Te Reo Māori, tara means mountain peak and naki is thought to come from ngaki meaning shining – referring to the mountain’s winter snow cover.
Their beers are brewed onsite at 59 Gill Street by Head Brewer Jesse Sigurdsson and team. You can sample their range of beers straight from the tap, enjoyed with food from their eatery, prepared by award winning Head Chef – Freddie Ponder.
Shining Peak Brewing have a bit of spiritual nourishment in mind too, which is why we dedicate 5% of beer revenues to local charities and organisations.
