Taranaki Rugby are proud to announce that Matahio Energy have recommitted their support to the next generation of Amber & Black fans by signing on as Family Zone Naming Rights Partner for 2024 and 2025.

The partnership extension is part of Matahio’s ongoing commitment to Taranaki whānau, young people and local schools.

The Matahio Family Zone is located at the northern end of the Noel & Melva Yarrow Stand on Yarrows Taranaki Bulls match days. Its vision is to create memorable experiences for the whole family.

High demand from families in 2023 has seen Taranaki Rugby expand the Matahio Family Zone this year, Block M seating will be added to the usual Block N seating.

The Matahio Family Zone is home to spin the wheel, face painting, skills and drills with Ferdie and the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls, giveaways for the kids, complimentary Yarrows the Bakers cookies and much more.

Young fans can also participate in the Matahio Make-A-Wish activation where a handful of wishes are brought to life each season thanks to the team at Matahio.

In 2023 young fans from Mimi School and St Pius School were lucky enough to receive surprise visits, tickets, and merchandise from their Yarrows Taranaki Bulls heroes.

At the Bunnings NPC Final at Yarrow Stadium last October, Matahio and NZ Rugby teamed up to shout 950 free Tinklebell ice creams for young Amber & Black fans.

Through the Matahio + Taranaki Rugby partnership, Ngaere School students will again be in luck; they will receive complimentary tickets to a Yarrows Taranaki Bulls and a visit from members of the team.

Matahio Country Manager Drew Cadenhead added; “The Matahio Family Zone has grown every year, nothing makes us happier than to continue that support for our whānau, young people and local schools.”

Taranaki Rugby Chief Executive Officer Mike Sandle was rapt to have Matahio recommit their support.

An Adult + Child season membership in the Matahio Family Zone is just $90 and includes grandstand seating for five regular season matches, free home finals access and an invitation to train with the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls on Yarrow Stadium #1.
