Denis Wheeler Earthmoving partner with Ferdie Rugby


Taranaki Rugby have announced Denis Wheeler Earthmoving have signed a two-year agreement as the naming rights partner of Taranaki Ferdie Rugby for 2023 and 2024.

Denis Wheeler Earthmoving Ferdie Rugby kicks off around Taranaki Maunga this weekend with around 140 teams representing 16 junior clubs over 12 weeks of play.

Grades span from Under 6s through to Under 13s from Patea in the south to Coastal in the west, Clifton in the north and Toko in the east.

Denis Wheeler Earthmoving Ferdie Rugby is a vehicle for young Taranaki children to learn and develop new skills in a team environment while making friends and having fun.

Denis, Brett and the team at Denis Wheeler Earthmoving offer a wide range of earthmoving, excavation, civil construction and landscaping services and have been in the local market for the last 20 years with their site based on Corbett Road.

They have been a key contractor in the Yarrow Stadium redevelopment, and they are excited about contributing to the next generation of rugby in the place they call home.

Taranaki Rugby’s relationship with Denis Wheeler Earthmoving will see two exciting initiatives launched for Ferdie Rugby participants.

The first activation will see Denis Wheeler Earthmoving shout each Ferdie Rugby “Player of the Day” a child admission to the Todd Energy Aquatic Centre, Wai o Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre or the Hāwera Aquatic Centre.

The second initiative will see one lucky Ferdie Rugby team given the opportunity to train on Yarrow Stadium #1 with some of their local Amber & Black heroes later in the season.
