The Taranaki Rugby Football Union invites applications for the exciting position of Yarrows Taranaki Bulls Head Coach.

The successful applicant will have overall responsibility for the Taranaki A-Team High Performance areas including all A-Team Management (Assistant Coaches, Team Manager, Trainers, Medical Staff, Physiotherapist Staff, Sports Psych and Performance Analyst).

As the Yarrows Taranaki Bulls Head Coach, you will be joining a very positive, pro-active and passionate team with the opportunity to directly contribute to the overall promotion and development of the game of rugby in Taranaki.

You will possess excellent communication, self and time management skills and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and role model all team discipline and culture to ensure optimum performance and reputation
• Ensure team standards and TRFU values are promoted and adhered to by all squad members
• Take leadership in handling all judicial processes arising throughout the season
• Preparation of season reports for consideration by the Board of Directors
• Live, lead and drive all team Protocols
• Inspiring and driving the Taranaki players into a focused and successful high-performing winning team

Key Competencies:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a rugby Coach or Assistant Coach
• Level 3 World Rugby Coaching Certificate, or equivalent
• A strong strategic and technical understanding of the game and current application of the rules
• Be suitably qualified as a Coach and be experienced in the demands of a High-Performance environment
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet strict deadlines

• Confidence and the ability to build rapport and respect with people from diverse backgrounds

This role will be based at Taranaki Rugby Football Union offices in New Plymouth.
